We can roll our eyes as much as we want, yet, video is still in the podcasting space and somehow still growing!
It feels like something we just want to reject and complain about. So unfair! Where is all this Pro Tools knowledge supposed to go? What even is a podcast anymore? Meanwhile, some colleagues seem to be embracing the transition and treating it as an exciting new playground with no rules (yet).

Wherever you fall on the spectrum, we want to process this so-called “pivot” together. Come for a collective cathartic session, anonymously share your feelings (aka: pain points), and MAYBE move towards radical acceptance with the help of three colleagues experimenting in this new space:
‣ Jess Fenton is the Technical Manager for Audio @ The Wall Street Journal, where she recently led the conversion of two audio podcasts to video. She’s also the creator of the Heartstoppers Creepy Doll universe, which has its own video podcast ‘Creepy Backstories.’
‣ Sarah Qari and Anisa Vietze from Radiolab have been experimenting with video on Social Media and recently on YouTube with the story “Escaping Pompeii“.
‣ Graham Litten works as a Strategic Partner Manager on YouTube’s Podcast Partnerships team, where he helps creators and publishers navigate the booming world of video podcasts. Prior to this role, Graham was the Associate Director of Video and Audio Strategy @ Wall Street Journal.
‣ Andrew Callaway is an independent filmmaker and audio producer who created the visuals for You Feeling This (iHeartRadio & Overtones Media), winner of a Signal Award for Most Innovative Video Podcast, & produced 99% Invisible’s first-ever video-podcast episode.

We will gather at Bravo Studio in Midtown, and the session will start at 7:15 pm SHARP!
