We believe that the world needs better towns and cities where people can live healthier, more connected, more prosperous lives. We want to build those places. Imagine a more beautiful world where we live in harmony with nature, each other, our health, and our livelihoods. This gathering is hosted by Meridia and Abundancia, two projects to build new towns and communities based on new governance systems and regenerative development. This event’s purpose is for everyone to connect with like-minded people so we can all collaborate toward our visions for the future together. Join us for a day of inspiring talks, meaningful conversations, and deep connection with founders, builders, thinkers, and pioneers working at the frontier of: • Regenerative land development • Greenfield town building • Network states & startup societies • New governance models • Intentional communities • Coliving & cohousing • Human-centered urbanism • Food systems • Alternative education The Future Cities Summit is designed for collaboration. Talks run in 30-minute bursts followed by 30 minutes of connection time, giving everyone space to actually meet each other, exchange ideas, and explore potential collaborations. Whether you're interested in building systems that promote 🥗healthy living,🧑‍🤝‍🧑social connection, 🏘️new communities, 🔒privacy, 🛠️self-reliance, or ⚖️governments that work better, this event is for you. 🎤 SCHEDULE: Speakers & Discussion Leaders 1:00 PM: Arrival, Checkin 1:30 PM: Open Conversation 2:00 PM: Angel Robinson (Solarpunk Summit) 2:10 PM: Patri Friedman (Pronomos Capital) - From seasteading to charter cities: 25 years of working towards startup countries 2:30 PM: Open Conversation 3:00 PM: Brian Sanders (Sapien Center) – Aligning incentives for new models of food and health systems. 3:10 PM: Billy Tetrud (Meridia) – Freesteads: Permissionless Alternative Legal Jurisdictions 3:30 PM: Open Conversation & Optional Breakout Discussion: Spiritual Acceleration as a Path to Sovereignty with Mozhi Rinpoche (No Self Society) 4:00 PM: Brad Nye (RegenWorld) - The Social Fabric of Community 4:10 PM: Kelly Krezek (Abundancia) - Regenerative Development as a Global Solution 4:30 PM: Open Conversation & Optional Breakout Discussion: Balancing Humanity and Nature with Micah Sutton. 5:00 PM: Sara D Morell (Sanctuary) - Building Narnia: Mother of Sanctuaries & Sacred Communities. 5:10 PM: Justin Kathan (Sanctuary) - Get Money, Build Communities 5:30 PM: Open Conversation 6:00 PM: Bill Worsham - Radically Decentralized Local Governance 6:10 PM: Joshua Farahzad (Prototown) - Building new cultures and experimental vibes in USA 6:30 PM: Open Conversation 7:00 PM: After-party begins at The Portal (ticketed after-party in South Austin) 🌳 FEATURED PROJECT BOOTHS • 2PM – 6PM: Meridia | A solarpunk town near Austin. • 2PM – 6PM: Abundancia | A regenerative community development. • 2PM – 6PM: Sanctuary | A community dedicated to human well-being. • 2PM – 5PM: No Self Society | Ecosystems for Scaling Selflessness 🌮 FOOD AND VENDORS A curated food menu will be available for purchase from FoodTruck484 with options for all kinds: vegan, vegetarian, carnivore, and omnivore.
