To mark the Semiquincentennial (and offer some queer counterprogramming to the "patriotic" festivities), this July 3rd, we’re going to be bringing you a new flavor of Fundy—Fundy: Salon! 🎨🥂🎭
Inspired by the cultural epi-centers of Parisian salons and the spirit of the ‘70s institution, the Philadelphia Gay and Lesbian Coffeehouse 🏳️🌈☕️, we’ll be bringing you the same Fundy spirit, but in a more relaxed atmosphere; the option to partake in comfy cushions on the floor while appreciating curated performances and partaking in our (as always!) killer cash bar, with addition of savory and sweet treat options in which to indulge😌🧘
Different vibe, same expectation: stellar performances and queer community building… just with a few less disco balls and a bit more political education and resistance assembling 😉🪩
Doors open at 6:30pm to view the exhibition and the 75 minute program starts at 7:30pm and will have one intermission.
It’s no secret that we at PQF continue to be inspired by the queer pioneers that came before us and paved the way for our community and its work. This struggle is our inheritance, and our demands remain the same – liberty and justice for all. We’re thrilled to offer Philly a new kind of Fundy to try out and we hope you’ll join us on July 3rd 💖💕
