Previously, he headed business development at Senti Biosciences, driving partnerships with Spark/Roche in gene therapy and BlueRock/Bayer in regenerative medicine. Earlier, he worked as a scientist at an MIT spinout, advancing two ocular drug candidates that are now FDA approved products. Eddie holds a PhD in Biological Engineering from MIT and an MBA from Stanford. Cristina Escoda is co-founder and Managing Director of Tachyon Ventures, an early-stage biotech fund investing at the intersection of AI and life sciences to accelerate breakthrough therapies. She holds a PhD in String Theory from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from NYU Stern. About: AI is expected to accelerate drug discovery by up to 70% and reduce R&D costs by over $100B annually by 2030—yet most of biotech still runs on spreadsheets and siloed labs.
