An evening of poetry, music, stories, and the community we’re continuously building. A mushaira, traditionally, is a gathering where one poem leads to another, one person’s stories become conversations for everyone else, and someone inevitably leaves carrying a line that wasn't theirs when the evening began. This open mic is inspired by that tradition. Bring a ghazal, a poem, a story, a song, a joke, or anything that you’d like to share. If you'd like to perform, let us know in the comments what you'll be bringing with you to the mic. This will most likely be our last event for a while so we’re really looking forward to having you all there <3
