Little Red Riding Hood is wandering into JJC with crimson capes, enchanted forests, storybook cottages, and just a hint of something lurking between the trees. Inspired by the childhood tale we all know and the darker folklore of the Brothers Grimm, this theme takes us deep into the woods with a mix of classic fairy-tale charm and mysterious, vintage storybook details. Think red cloaks, woven baskets, wolves, wildflowers, mushrooms, winding forest paths, old books, woodland creatures, grandmother’s cottage, and plenty of “what big eyes you have” moments along the way. We’ll be gathering at Westlake Brewing for an evening of journaling, creativity, and stepping into a story that has been told and retold for generations. From the sweet nostalgia of the childhood classic to the moodier details of traditional Grimm fairy tales, there are so many directions to take your spread. We’ll have themed scrap packs filled with storybook ephemera, woodland papers, vintage illustrations, deep reds, earthy forest tones, and thoughtfully curated embellishments inspired by Little Red’s journey through the woods. Grab a drink, bring your favorite supplies, settle in with friends, and take a page out of a childhood classic as we venture over the river and through the woods for Little Red Riding Hood.
