Global AI for Science & Materials
Global AI for Science & Materials is a breakfast networking and speaker event, co-hosted by MatNex and the British Consulate-General. The event is designed to highlight how artificial intelligence is accelerating the discovery and development of next-generation materials.
This exclusive gathering will bring together leading academics, investors, and innovators to explore how breakthroughs in AI are reshaping the future of science. Keynotes and fireside discussions will feature world-renowned experts including Prof. Gábor Csányi (University of Cambridge) and Prof. Shyue Ping Ong (University of California, San Diego), alongside MatNex representatives and other UK-based leaders. Together, they will examine the role of AI in unlocking advancements across energy, sustainability, and advanced technologies including insights into compute infrastructure, costs and bottlenecks.
Designed for VCs, angel investors, students, fresh graduates, and early-stage ventures, the program offers participants direct access to cutting-edge insights, while fostering meaningful connections and collaborations across academia, industry, and finance. Running from 09:00–11:00, the session provides a high-energy start to the day in an intimate setting that encourages both learning and collaboration.
