Hike to Hollywood Sign

Join @BlkOutsiiide on a hike via Innsdale Trail and Mt Lee Drive. This is a relatively easy-moderate hike to the iconic Hollywood sign. The trail length is 4.5 miles (2.25 miles each way). The views are spectacular and the trail is mostly a gradual climb until you get closer to the top with little shade along the way. We’ll leave at 8:15 am sharp so if you’re late you can try to catch up. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow and very popular trail, so expect to encounter others on your hike. Bring anything you need to do a fairly decent trail like water, good shoes or boots, sunblock etc. Rain cancels as we don't need to hike in the wet and get colds especially now lol. Park on the street near Lake Hollywood Park (Canyon Lake Dr/Innsdale Dr) for free, early morning spots, then follow Innsdale Drive to the dirt trail, connect to Mulholland Highway, pass the last house, and follow signs through gates to the Mt. Lee paved road leading behind the sign Parking & Trailhead 1. Street Parking: Find free curbside parking on Innsdale Drive or Canyon Lake Drive near Lake Hollywood Park. Arrive early (before 8 AM) to find spots, as it gets busy. 2. No Mt. Lee Parking: Do not expect to park directly on Mt. Lee Drive; it's for emergency access only. Route to the Sign 1. Start: Begin at the Innsdale Trailhead at the end of Innsdale Drive (look for the gate). 2. Innsdale Dirt Trail: Follow this path, which offers good views and connects to Mulholland Highway. 3. Mulholland Highway: Turn left onto Mulholland, then take the next immediate left through auto barriers. 4. To Mt. Lee: Continue to the end of this section, turn right onto a dirt path, and follow it to the large gate leading to Mt. Lee Drive. Basic Disclaimer- Keep Yourself Safe. This is a meet-up group and anyone in it is not responsible for your safety and makes no promise you are safe from natural dangers (and mountain bikes) while participating in a hike. Things like ticks and rattlesnakes are not uncommon (not a problem either, you just look out for them), plus all of the other normal outdoor dangers and precautions that come with any outdoor activity. Please know your abilities and your limits and keep yourself safe
