The Ebony Beach Club Memory Portal celebrates the legacy of Silas White and the ongoing fight to end racist land theft. During this interactive and multimedia activation, oral histories and archival images of Black Santa Monica will be collected and shared at the historic Calvary Baptist Church in Santa Monica. Bring a photograph or object that represents a memory of Santa Monica. If you’d like to share a story on October 5, use the prompt “My land is_____.” Family portraits will be available free of charge.
