Common Ground is hosting its first mahjong tournament on behalf of Free Spirited Lounge. One ticket covers the cost of a mocktail and a guaranteed spot. Proceeds will go to Free Spirited Lounge and collaborators. 10 tables, 40 spots. Tables are Hong Kong style, 3 point minimum. Each player starts with 5 chips. 1 game costs 1 chip to play, and the winner of the game claims all the chips if they win by self-draw. If they win by discard, they claim the discarder's chip. You can buy back into the tournament if you lose all your chips for $5 a chip. Top 4 chip leaders at the final call will play their game with Jay's special hand-carved set from Karen Aruba.. The grand prize is a custom drawing from @lilichin_art, a mahjong set, a Common Ground tote bag, four Common Ground tile pushers, and a comped meal from Free Spirited Lounge ($30 value). The drawing from Lili Chin would be of 4 animals playing mahjong, and the winner gets to choose any animal (could be their own cat, dog, etc.) as of the players with their winning hand. The winner would have to take a photo of their winning hand in the tournament for Lili to draw; the other 3 animals are up to Lill's artistic choices. We will have smaller prizes for the final four, such as tote bags and tile pushers, and all tournament players will get a special sticker from Lili Chin. 📆 Saturday, June 6 ⏰ 5PM-9PM 🀄️ 13-tile Hong Kong, 3 point minimum
