Join us at Venture Lane Startup Hub during Boston Tech Week for a mid-day session built for founders, engineers, product managers, and finance leaders who are building, scaling, or rethinking how they monetize. Most companies building with AI are flying blind on pricing. Not because the problem isn't real — but because no one person owns it. It touches engineering, product, finance, and sales all at once. That's exactly why it's so hard to get right. This is the only event at #BosTechWeek focused entirely on AI pricing strategy and implementation — and we're bringing together some of the best people in the space to talk through it with you. Come to ask the questions you can't Google, connect with others working through the same problems, and get answers from people who've actually done it. We'll cover: - How to figure out what pricing model is actually right for you - What breaks when you migrate from seat-based to usage-based pricing - How finance and product get real visibility into per-customer margins - Overage billing, threshold alerts, and the stuff nobody warns you about - When to go full consumption vs. platform + consumption — and how to hedge the risk - How to communicate pricing changes to customers without the backlash How the session runs: 12:00–12:30pm — Open networking with light snacks and refreshments 12:30–1:00pm — Panel-style facilitated conversation with our experts (whiteboard included). We'll open with the patterns we're seeing across the market, then open it up for Q&A — because 90% of people in the room are wrestling with the same questions. 1:00–2:00pm — Audience-guided breakouts. After the panel, you choose who you want to go deep with based on where you need help most. Your facilitators: - Peter Zotto — Founder of Trove, former founder of ProfitWell and Price Intelligently. Peter will cover why pricing matters more than most founders realize, how to build it as a repeatable core competency, and the business case for getting it right before it gets urgent. - Chris Conley — Founder, ex-Stripe (7 years, internal monetization and billing). Chris will cover the implementation details: pricing migrations, cohorting, communicating changes to customers, and what actually breaks when you switch models. - Alexa Gjonca — Monetization Strategy & Operations Lead at LocalStack, ex-ProfitWell. Alexa will cover how to identify what you're actually capturing value on, how to structure your charge around it, and how to get your systems to execute the pricing decisions you make. - CJ Cummings & Amelia Wampler — Co-founders of Limitr. We'll tie it all together from the infrastructure side — what it looks like to operationalize usage and outcome-based pricing in practice, and where the technical implementation either unlocks or kills your strategy. Limitr will have free resources available to take home — including a build-vs-buy checklist, pricing model templates, and a guide to the questions your team should be asking before you write a single line of billing logic. Snacks and drinks provided. Come ready to share. 📍 Venture Lane Startup Hub, Boston 🗓 May 26, 12:00–2:00pm EST This event is part of #BosTechWeek — a week of events hosted by VCs and startups to bring together the tech ecosystem.
