Join us at Joy Gift Shoppe and learn the joy of Mahjong. This first lesson is Mahjong 101: An introduction to American Mahjong with instructor Cheryl Pratt. This class is meant for brand new players. Participants will receive a general overview of the game and by the end of the lesson, will be able to identify the tiles, read the National Mah Jongg League (NJML) card, and build mahjong hands. The instructor will provide a resource packet with a cheat sheet, strategies for picking hands, and a list of websites/apps to practice online. Students can purchase the NJML card ($15.00) at the end of the lesson or purchase The Big Card from Joy Gift Shoppe.
