Join us for a hands on, one-hour workshop with photographer Lanna Apisukh, focused on portraiture in the field and the real-world process of working on location. This session centers on approach, offering insight into how Lanna prepares for shoots, what she packs, how she sets up in dynamic environments, and how she makes creative decisions in real time. Participants will also learn on-camera and off-camera flash tips and techniques, including one and two-light setups, from a frequently published contributor to The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and The New Yorker. The workshop will begin with a brief introduction to Lanna’s background, inspirations, and career path, followed by a more hands-on walkthrough of her on-location layout, lighting approach, and workflow. Expect practical takeaways, thoughtful discussion, and space for questions throughout. Who This Is For: This workshop event is exclusively for women, femme-identifying, nonbinary, and trans photographers of all identities and expressions within the photo industry. We center queer, nonbinary, and trans voices, building space with care, intention, and respect.
