Reader's Club

Have you ever bought a book you *believed* you would read, only to find out it looks so good on your shelf you couldn't bring yourself to crease the spine? Bring that sucker in to the Workers Tap & Cafe this September - this lightly structured event is an opportunity to read quietly in a dedicated space, trade books, hear a live reading, and socialize about all things literature. This month's (loose) theme is social change. Are you feeling particularly unliberated these past few months? Are your abolitionist ancestors saber rattling in your dreams? Does revolution come up in therapy? Do you grapple with how to be anti-racist, anti-sexist, anti-oppression? This is an opportunity to body double, co-struggle, and build community while we engage with the big ideas that promise to free us. Handmade bookmarks for sale by local artist Sky B. Please note that the Workers Tap & Cafe's upstairs area is not ADA accessible, and drink responsibly.
