SYNTHIA STUDIO and IS NOT MUSIC present a music series wherein an artist shares their personal connection to a musical instrument through demonstration, talk and performance. attendees will watch the artist up close playing an instrument they love and hear directly from them about how they use it to create music. attendees may also learn a bit about how the instrument works on a technical level and try it themselves. the third edition on may 22 will feature Felipe Quiroz (aka Prince of Queens) with modular synths! Felipe Quiroz is a colombian-born, new york-raised producer and instrumentalist who has released solo music under the name "prince of queens" and with his band Combo Chimbita. you can find him on IG at @princeofqueens_nyc ! some notes on the event: - the event is located at synthia studio in greenwich village, manhattan. rsvps will receive synthia studio's address after rsvp'ing. - this event is free, with limited capacity. if you cannot attend, please change your rsvp so we can get an accurate sense of numbers. - the door will open at 6pm, and the event will start soonafter, when all rsvps have arrived. the event will be over by 8pm. - masks are encouraged, and will be provided for anyone who would like one. - seating wise, it will be a mixture of chairs and floor seating with cushions. - the space is located down one flight of stairs.
