We’ll gather for a guided journaling session influenced by the California African American Museum's Dear Mazie group exhibition, which is inspired by the life and work of Amaza Lee Meredith (1895-1984), the trailblazing artist and educator who became one of the earliest-known Black queer women to practice as an architect in Virginia.
Attendees will be encouraged to journey inward, give voice to their reflections through writing, and engage in conversation with a supportive community.
Journals will be provided, but feel free to also bring your own ♥️
