Join us for the first Cameras & Carbs night walk with a Y2K twist! Inspired by the aesthetics of Y2K Futurism (and more specifically Gen X Soft Club), this walk aims to capture the cold & corporate look of downtown SF in a more interesting ways. This look is largely defined by blue/teal tints, motion blur, wide angles, and digital age imagery. If you own a digital/film camera from 1996-2004 then you're urged to bring it. Otherwise, challenge yourself to capture this look using whatever you shoot with regularly. Bonus points if you wear an outfit inspired by this era so we can get some cool photo shoots in! We'll meet at Union Square and head out at 8:30. Our first stop will be directly underground at the muni station for some photo shoots. From there we'll head southward to Yerba Buena Gardens, followed by the Transbay Transit Center. Our last photo stop will be Embarcadero Center. As for the carbs portion of the walk, we'll be capping off the night with beers & booze at Irish Times nearby.
