Welcome to the Plumbum x BXWriters Writers' Workshop! This is a writer's workshop for anyone who needs a place for feedback and community.
We take fiction, nonfiction, comics, poetry, prose, lyrics, screenplays, and more. Preferably still with some text.
Receive earnest feedback from people passionate about writing skills just like you.
This month's topic will be:
Writing Life
Reading Living like Weasels by Annie Dillard
We’ll look at identifying the needs of characters. We’ll look at humor created from not listening to the needs.
People come to the workshop with formal and informal experiences ready to share what they know, which adds up to a lot of knowledge shared.
Anyone is welcome to come, we won't turn anyone away. First 6 people to arrive will definitely be given feedback, people after will be on a waitlist.
We will read during the workshop, so there’s no pressure to read beforehand. Keep in mind time constraints too, so keep writing pieces to a reasonable length of at most 2 pages. Otherwise, we'll just focus on the part you care most to get feedback on. The goal is to enjoy the writing process, have fun writing, and connect with other writers.
We send out a text blast before noon to give you an FYI on the workshop.
