12:00 - 2:00 PM at 201 East 86th St Rooftop (Ann Marie and Jonas') The cookbook for June is Naturally Vegan: Delicious Recipes from Around the World That Just Happen to Be Plant-based by Julius Fiedler. This can be purchased and is also available at the New York Public Library. An excerpt is linked above. Please bring a dish from the cookbook - COMMENT BELOW WHAT YOU ARE BRINGING so we can avoid duplicates. Check the photo album to select a recipe (or check my first post below since two ingredient recipes also appear in the photo album). At 2:00, we'll start over to the Met (15 minute walk). You are welcome to leave dishes at Ann Marie and Jonas' and pick them up after the demo. We want the Met to pressure their food service provider, Chartwells (a subsidiary of Compass Group US) to take meaningful steps to stop using Frankenchickens. Frankenchickens are chickens selectively bred to suffer by growing unnaturally large and abnormally fast, often resulting in extreme pain and muscle disorders. We'll be educating the public and gathering petition signatures. We're also planning some fun ways to engage with the public including temporary chicken tattoos!
