Summer isn’t over yet—what better way to soak up the sun than spend a day at the beach with your fellow Jewish dykes?
Join us for a day of fun at Rockaway Beach on Sunday, August 23rd! Organized by long-time Shalom, Dykes friend Mickie Trester, we’ll be meeting at 11am at Beach 86th Street. There is an accessibility ramp with a handrail from the boardwalk to the water and nearby food options like Key Food and Rippers.
Like The Ramones famously sang: “It’s not hard, not far to reach; we can hitch a ride to Rockaway Beach.” Here’s the travel info:
Subway: A to Broad Channel. Switch to Rockaway Shuttle to B. 90th St. Walk 4 blocks to boardwalk
Bus: Q53 to B. 94 OR Q52 to B. 92 or B. 88th St. Walk 2 blocks to boardwalk
Ferry: NYC Ferry to Rockaway. Ferry dock is at Beach 105th St. Take the shuttle bus to B. 86 OR the Q22 OR take a car service
Reach out to Mickie with any questions.
Hope to see you there!
