Welcome to the community dance phenomenon called iala happening in Austin, TX at Zilker Park!
What is iala?
It’s a community-building event series at Zilker Park. Every iala follows three acts:
Act 1: Chanting circle
Act 2: We dance together. Not ecstatic dance. Instead, it’s a group somatic dance. We will move together at times. And other times we will just boogy.
Act 3: We meditate together. This is why you bring a blanket - everyone sits or lays down on their blanket, and I lead everyone through a guided visualization meditation set to cinematic music.
