We are happy to invite you to the Nucleate Bay Area - Startup Sandbox Happy Hour on June 1st! This is a chance to mingle and build relationships with Nucleate Bay Area Leadership Team and Alumni and learn more about The Startup Sandbox. Moreover, we will host an incredible keynote speaker - Avery Wang, Principal Research Scientist at Apple. Startup Sandbox is a biotech incubator that helps entrepreneurs crystalize and innovate their breakthrough ideas into commercially successful businesses. The Sandbox provides a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where early-stage startups gain access to low-cost laboratories, offices, shared spaces, resources, training, and networking opportunities that propel them down a fast track to success. At Nucleate, we support and educate science and business students to come together and form new bio- and climate-tech ventures. We are proud of our track record – over the past four years we have supported 108 teams and our alumni have already gone on to raise over $195M in external financing, creating more than 120 biotech-related jobs. This year, 10 venture teams in our cohort went through our program. We started with 40 remarkable technologies from the University of California, Berkeley, the University of California, San Francisco, Stanford University, and the University of California, Santa Cruz, and after a rigorous selection process, we narrowed it down to the top 10 finalists. They will be happy to share their experience growing as founders with Nucleate. During our program, They learned and implemented knowledge about all the aspects of company creation: financing, legal procedures, tech transfers, fundraising, market and technical risks, storytelling, and many more! During the Happy Hour, The Startup Sandbox will also be unveiling their newest venture, the IdeasLab. This innovative workspace is designed to foster creativity, enabling individuals to work and develop their ideas within a collaborative and supportive environment.
