Helloooo fellow LGBTQ folks and allies! Let's hop on bikes and frolic around together!
Hosted by yours truly, Cycle & Coffee (the gayest coffee shop around) - our group ride will be starting here at our Fremont shop for breakfast & cute bevs, and then bopping around town. The route may be adjusted for weather closer to the date, but as of now we are planning to end at Seward Park Beach for a picnic+swim!
Festive outfits (and bike adornments) are encouraged but not required!
Basic info:
We'll start with breakfast & bevs at Cycle & Coffee at 9:30am and depart on the ride at about 10:30 (a bit more of a leisurely breakfast this month so we can all get to know each other!)
It’s a chill pace, no-drop group ride with stops, total distance of about 16 miles. It’s Seattle, so there will be some hills!
About the route:
We're going to start at Cycle & Coffee, and as of now the plan is to ride along the Burke, through Interlaken, stop at Central Co-Op, and make our way down to Lake Washington Blvd (which will again be closed to cars - yay!) and end at Seward Beach Park.
If you’re headed back north after the ride, we’ll be fairly close to the Columbia City light rail station where you can hop on the train with your bike.
Please ride a functional bike, and we enocurage you to bring your own spare tube in the case of a flat tire. We can help with minor mechanical issues along the way, but these precautions help ensure a good experience for the whole group!
This ride is at a relaxed pace, but we ask that riders be comfortable riding 16 miles in the city with hills. We use a buddy system to keep track of each other, and will be making stops and sticking together as a group. If you want to peel off early, just tell your buddy and/or the ride leader (me, Summer).
