OPENING NIGHT - come celebrate the works of Eva Verbeeck, Kourtney Iman, Mikayla Jean Miller, and Thalía Gochez from 6-9pm in DTLA. America’s Girls brings together the work of four photographers whose practices are rooted in personal experience while engaging broader questions of identity and belonging. The show is a culmination to celebrate the launch of Eva’s new book “America’s Girls, On the Edge of a Dream” published by GOST. Together throughout this exhibition, the artists offer their own perspectives on contemporary femininity, revealing the body not simply as an object to be viewed, but as a living archive where confidence, insecurity, resilience, and self-definition are continually negotiated. Their work positions individual experience as a lens through which larger cultural forces—and the evolving story of America’s girls—can be understood.
