Art isn't supposed to make sense on a spreadsheet. Neither are nonprofit art galleries. Yet here we are. Join us for an evening celebrating the artists, collectors, supporters, volunteers, and wonderfully unreasonable humans who have helped keep Not Shockboxx alive during our first year as a nonprofit gallery. We'll gather over food, conversation, and a gallery full of artwork donated by artists who believe that creative spaces are worth fighting for. You'll also have the opportunity to experience our current exhibition, Art Is Keeping Us Alive, featuring work generously donated by an incredible roster of artists from across our community. As a nonprofit gallery, 100% of artwork sales from this exhibition directly support our mission. Every piece sold helps fund future exhibitions, artist opportunities, community programming, and the continued operation of a space dedicated to creative expression. And because every artwork in the exhibition was donated, purchases from the show may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Whether you've exhibited with us, collected artwork, attended an opening, volunteered your time, or simply believe that artists deserve places to gather, experiment, and occasionally make a mess, we'd love to celebrate with you. Admission is free. RSVP required. Come spend an evening with the people who make this community possible, explore the exhibition, support working artists, and help ensure that art continues to have a home in Hermosa Beach. Because it turns out exposure doesn't pay the rent
