AfroDusk is back in July! Golden hour. Collective sounds. Vibrant souls.
Whenever AfroDusk gathers, Press Club becomes a sanctuary for music lovers, creatives, and cultural explorers. Through an African prism, we celebrate global sonic landscapes - blending Afrocentric House, transcontinental beats, and unexpected melodies from every corner of the earth. AfroDusk is where borders dissolve, community thrives, and the pulse of connection carries us from sunset into night.
This week:

**Koma-T** (Oakland, CA)
Koma-T is a gifted mix master and international open format DJ who seamlessly bridges her dual worlds as a data scientist by day and party curator by night. Known for hosting memorable events across SF and Oakland, she has graced stages at 1015 Folsom, Midway, El Rio, and Mothership, sharing lineups with artists like Mura Masa, Juliet Mendoza, and Sofia Kourtesis. Her signature style centers on percussion and synchronization, layering musical influences from her African upbringing, global travels, and everyday life into immersive sonic experiences.
**JAO** (San Francisco, USA)
JAO is a first generation Filipino-American Artist/DJ born and raised in San Francisco. Inspired by the hard hitting subwoofers in modified cars of the 90s and 00s, it is there he learned music is not only something you hear, but also feel. Influenced by the grittiness of hip hop and vigor of hard rock, JAO decorates time and space with the grooves of house and electronic music.
**Dson** (Riverside, CA)
Originally from Southern California, Dson brings infectious dance energy to every venue he touches. Known for his magnetic presence and funky, cool beats, he crafts sets that keep crowds grooving from first drop to final track. Whether spinning house, disco, or techno, Dson's mission is simple: make people boogie.
**Kamu Kamu** (Kampala, Uganda)
Kamu Kamu is a visionary DJ/Producer whose Afrocentric sound bridges ancestral rhythms with contemporary electronic music. Known for his soulful, eclectic sets, he has captivated audiences worldwide. His music is a celebration of cultural diversity and unity, inspired by the Luganda proverb "Kamu Kamu gwe muganda" ("One by one makes a bundle"). As founder of the African Identity Institute, he is dedicated to preserving African cultural heritage and amplifying underrepresented voices in the arts.
