What if we've already built a new kind of mind and just don't know it yet? For centuries, humanity has wondered what it would mean to wake up the machine. Now, leading researchers believe it may be happening. AM I? follows AI-consciousness researcher Cameron Berg as he investigates one of the deepest scientific mysteries of our time: whether we've accidentally built a new kind of mind. Featuring leading philosophers, AI pioneers, and researchers at the frontier of consciousness science, the film asks what it means when we no longer know the nature of what we've created. It's mind-bending, a little terrifying, and genuinely thrilling to watch. Humanarium is a club for human connection in the machine age and to stay afterward for a live Q&A with two of the people thinking hardest about these questions: Cameron Berg, AI-consciousness researcher and founder of Reciprocal Research, and Jeff Sebo, philosopher at NYU and director of the Center for Mind, Ethics, and Policy, author of The Moral Circle. Where is the farm.one located? At 625 Bergen Street, Brooklyn, NY 11238. We are two blocks from the Barclays center, close to the 2/3, 4/5, B/Q, A/C and G trains and near to a number of great local restaurants. ✨ The evening 6:00— For early birds- Come early if you can! A small surprise before the film: What were we actually listening to before Facebook? by Anil / Yang 🎶 6:25 — Welcome. A few words on why we're in the room?- Humanarium Founder- Cigdem Oztabak 🎙️ 6:30— The film. AM I? — 76 minutes on the strangest questions amd researches of our time. 🎬 8:05 — Live Q&A with audience. Cameron Berg and Jeff Sebo, in conversation. 🎤🎤 8:30-9:05 — Mingle. A plant-based surprise from Farm. One, more from the brewery, and the conversation the film started. 💬 🟠🟠 Why we are watching together? A film like this isn't meant to be watched alone. It's meant to be argued about, sat with, and carried out the door into a conversation with someone whose face you can actually see. The technology reshaping our lives is quietly good at one thing above all: putting itself between us, answering before we ask each other, filling the rooms we used to fill together. 🟠 A third of American teenagers talk to AI chatbots daily — many "almost constantly." 🟠 The World Economic Forum estimates 92 million jobs displaced by 2030 — first to go, the work that least requires us to be in rooms with one another. Geoffrey Hinton left Google to warn of what he called "the end of people" — not because AI will destroy us, but because we're quietly letting it take the place of each other. 🧡 What is Humanarium? Humanarium.co is a New York gathering club for human connection in the age of machine; for people who believe connection, presence, and curiosity still matter most as machines move deeper into daily life. Humanarium take the films, ideas, experiences and researchs we admire, and turn them into evenings like this one: shared, in person. 🎬🎬 AM I? is fully independent and self-funded. Ads are off.
