A Prelude into the Utopocalypse: Drinks & Dialogue
Hosted by Jamin & Shane

Let's talk.
If you haven't driven on the 101 lately, we are told that we are living in an era of the greatest technological disruption yet experienced by this generation. AI is eating the world. There is little that is left off its plate, and in the wake of sweeping change, several foundational questions arise. Things like: "What does it mean to be human?" "Where does wisdom come from?" "What is the meaning of work?"
Have you asked any of these questions lately?
Everyone seems to have an answer: the Twitter CEOs, the folks on the Muni, the guy standing in front of you in line for a croissant, and yes, alas, the billboards. Like all of them. All. Of. Them.
Thing is: these answers aren't really said out loud. The technologists, the would-be conductors of the train, provide them through their latest apps and models. But what are they saying? What are we saying?
"Prelude" is a free, last-minute, action-packed Tillage pop-up event for friends in San Francisco. Join us this Thursday to crack open our shared folklore: the AI utopocalypse[0], and the questions we all have. This'll be a spirited & civil discussion over drinks to tee up our larger salon series: "How to stay human in the coming AI utopocalypse"[1].
We hope you can join us!

[0] Utopocalypse — a portmanteau meaning the unintended collapse of an idealized system, where efforts to achieve perfection result in catastrophe, chaos, or disillusionment. Or something like that.
