Step into a dive bar on Sunset Boulevard where the band is live, the drinks are flowing, and anyone can grab the mic. After a buzzed-about run at last year’s Hollywood Fringe Festival, Fool in the Pool returns for a limited residency at the iconic El Condor. Before the legendary bar closes its doors later this year, it will host four performances of this provocative play, beginning May 18 and continuing monthly through August. Directed by Cecilia Fairchild (Adult Book Club, Jumbo’s Clown Room) and written by and starring Edward Kiniry-Ostro (Zoey 101, It’s Always Sunny), the show follows Donny “Kay” DeMuco, a former child star chasing relevance one last time. What begins as a high-energy karaoke night quickly reveals itself to be something far more layered. Residency Dates: Monday, May 18 Monday, June 22 Monday, July 20 Monday, August 17 All shows at 8:00 PM Doors at 7:30 PM Runtime: 75 minutes VIP – Be Part of the Show ($30) Limited to 5 guests. Immediately following the performance, drinks will continue to flow, and audiences are invited to stay for a post-show karaoke party until 11pm!
