Movie Night: Paris Is Burning
On Saturday, September 19, we're watching Paris Is Burning (1990), the documentary about New York's ball culture at the end of the 80s: the balls, the houses, voguing, and the people who invented the language today's queer culture still speaks. It's a film about Black and Latino queer New Yorkers building their own family and their own space in a city that wasn't waiting for them.
We start at 6:00pm — come a little early to find a seat.
