◕‿◕*⏖*Join me for a special night at Cosmic Arts, the Sacred Rhythms label performance studio and record shop of Joaquin "Joe" Claussell. Joaquin is one of the moving forces along with Francois K and Danny Krivit of the legendary Body & Soul party that’s been running in NYC since 1996!!
Cosmic Arts is not just a place, it is a community where all forms of art are being cultivated in an all-inclusive format. The space features art from Brooklyn artists and has been tastefully curated to enhance musical experiences. It centers around the Afro-Latino Brooklyn music scene that is part of the foundation for electronic (&beyond) music culture worldwide.
I’m hosting a special vinyl-only event at Cosmic Arts because I am passionate about introducing everyone to this incredible community of music lovers. I am confident you will love this space and discover a window into new, incredible experiences if you’re not familiar with it already.
I’ll be taking you on a journey through funky and soulful records from around the world. Everything from Brazilian classics to African funk, Latin dance, Middle East disco, and sounds from Europe and Asia. The sound system in Cosmic Arts is new and is a labor-of-love, custom-built sound system made from vintage analog components that have been “frankenstein’d” together to create a unique experience you simply cannot get anywhere else!!
In addition to global sounds, we will have a global drink menu featuring Carajillos with 🇨🇴 coffee from Bright Cup!!
Entry is free, but I am asking everyone to consider supporting Cosmic Arts with a purchase of a record or merch. A purchase from the shop helps keep this unique space alive and the all-inclusive culture moving forward.
