The Italian diaspora has a long history of organizing, from challenging corporate power and fighting for workers’ rights to resisting authoritarian rule. We only need to look to our own past to find the tools we need for the present.
Come explore our history of fighting for workers’ rights and against fascism. Learn how Italian folk culture, traditions, and shared values have played an important role in building community, and how that sense of community has supported organizing efforts across generations and geography.
Then we’ll focus on action: engaging in a national general strike, exercising our rights in practice, and standing up to ICE to protect our communities.
