The cost is 30$ Per person. You will get a prerelease kit When you arrive that will include: 6 booster packs from the new set A special stamped foil rare or mythic card A spindown life counter (a 20-sided die) Sometimes a color-themed pack (depending on the set) It will be sealed format- you will build your deck from the packs. a 40 card deck Usually 2 colors (sometimes 3) Basic lands are provided by the store This levels the playing field since everyone is working with random cards. After deckbuilding (about 30minutes), you’re paired against other players for several rounds. Typically best-of-three matches Usually 3–4 rounds total More relaxed rules enforcement than competitive tournaments It’s very beginner-friendly Prereleases are specifically designed to be welcoming: Players help each other with rules and deckbuilding Judges and staff are more lenient and explanatory You can ask questions freely without pressure You keep everything you open All the cards in your kit are yours to keep, making it part event, part product experience.
