Come one, come all! To Durham Pride's 1st Annual Bear Contest hosted by girlybear.social! 🧸🌈✨ We've got bears, we've got drag performers, we've got booty-shakin' beats and a competition to make you say HELL YEAH! 😝✨ Bear contests date back to the late 80s to poke fun at gay skinny/athletic culture and to celebrate bigger bodies for the sexy and large and in charge! Whether you identify as a bear, a member of the queer community or an ally, come celebrate the bears with us! Registration to compete is from 3-4pm and the competition is from 4-7pm! Also, this event is free with a $10 suggested donation! Please bring cash to tip our drag performers! P.S. This is a PUBLIC EVENT! Invite every single person you know! 😘🫶🏼
