We’re excited to be launching this new event series for the Oratory Young Adult Community: Faith and Fellowship! While we are all young adult parishioners at the Oratory, we also often don’t know what each of our faith journeys and stories are. Everyone has a unique experience of how God has shown up in their lives, in good times and in bad, and we’re creating this event to be a place to share those stories and encounters with each other, in fellowship. We’re also encouraging each other to share any saints, theologians, authors, mystics, prayers, philosophers, art, or anyone or anything that you have found meaningful to your spiritual life as a Catholic. We’re keeping it open ended to however the Spirit is moving you! The format of Faith and Fellowship will be: • Faith Sharing: ~30-40 minutes of open mic where anyone is welcome to introduce themselves, share their story of faith or how God is showing up (or not showing up!) in their lives, and/or share anything else the Spirit moves them to share. We really want to keep it open ended! • Fellowship: After the open mic period, we will break out into small groups to talk with each other and get to know one another and share our faith on a deeper level. After the small group period, we'll keep it open ended for people to hang out with each before concluding the event. Colin Pugh, chair of the OYA committee, will be our host. There will be pizza and drinks both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We’re looking forward to seeing you all there!
