Let’s take… A long walk…. (Jill Scott’s voice) 😅
No, but for real though! 😏
We’re walking the Camino Inglés, an old pilgrimage route through Galicia, Spain, ending at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. ~115-119km (roughly 71-73 miles) which is 7 walking days. But this isn’t just “let’s hike a lot.”
Nope. We’re stopping. We’re eating. We’re meeting people. We’re resting when we need to rest and taking in the scenery instead of rushing through it. We’re celebrating when we finish! We’re celebrating because we showed up! 🥳
Honestly? I don’t even fully know what I’m walking for yet. I just know it looked like something I needed to do, so I’m doing it! 🙌🏾
And I think that’s kind of the point… You don’t have to know your reason either! Come figure it out with me, or come with your own reason already in hand. Either way there’s room for it. Just ask God to order your steps. 😌
Each day we’ll have a little something to sit with — a prompt, a moment to reflect, something to journal on if that’s your thing. Not required. Just there if you want it.
We’ll stop at restaurants along the way, we’ll rest in little medieval towns, we’ll take our time.
This is also my birthday trip 🎂 — my birthday is 7/28, and it falls right in the middle of our walk (Day 5, Betanzos → Presedo). So somewhere on a trail in Galicia, we’ll be celebrating together. There’s something about spending it walking instead of just marking another year — feels right.
Hope you can join me! 🤗✨
