We’re thrilled to announce that Issue 36, “Neighbors,” is launching! Join us for a night of live readings and literary merriment! What better way to kick off the summer? All our neighbors are welcome! Read on to meet the Issue 36 contributors who will be sharing their wonderful work on stage: Adam Falkner is a writer, performer, and educator. He is the author of The Willies (2021 Midwestern Independent Book Award winner), and his work has appeared in The Guardian, The New York Times, the Academy of American Poets' Poem-a-Day series, and The Rumpus. Sabrina Siew is a Midwest-raised, New York City-living creative with a deep appreciation for the ocean, old and new friends, and sparkling fruit drinks. ​She is currently an MFA in Writing candidate at Columbia University​, with her work appearing and forthcoming in publications like Black Warrior Review, The Georgia Review, and more. Born into a noisy Malaysian Chinese American family, she writes poems, prose, and postcards. Christopher Gonzalez is the the author of the story collection I’m Not Hungry but I Could Eat (Santa Fe Writers Project). His fiction has been supported by the New York Foundation for the Arts and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and his writing can be found in places like Poets & Writers, The Nation, Wasafiri, Best Microfictions, and Best Small Fictions. Ashley Lopez received her MFA in Creative Writing from Sarah Lawrence College. Her fiction and essays have appeared in Prairie Schooner, The Rumpus, Split Lip Magazine, and elsewhere. Inyene Ekanem is a fiction writer and a faith development practitioner. Her works sit at the intersection of the Christian faith and the complexities of the human condition. She is a 2026 Center for Fiction Susan Kamil Emerging Writer Fellow, a finalist for Epiphany’s 2026 Fresh Voices Fellowship, and an editor's selection for the 2024 Masters Review Novel Excerpt Contest.
