There's a good chance that no one has ever actually explained to you how pain works.  Pain science has changed dramatically in the past ten years, and most people in pain have not been updated.  In this interactive workshop, we're bringing together two hours of current pain science for anyone who's tired of not understanding what's happening in their body. We'll cover how the research has evolved, what the current model actually says, and where in the process of pain it's possible to intervene.  Pain is biological, psychological, and social. All three matter, but most people are only ever given one piece of the story. We'll break down the biopsychosocial model in plain language so you can leave with a new understanding of your pain–and some ideas for how to move through it. We'll also make space for something that's harder to find: time to be in a room with other people who get it. This workshop is for anyone with a body, because all bodies experience pain–the athlete nursing a tweaked hamstring, the person managing pain that’s lasted for years, and everyone in between. We all have pain. Wouldn’t you like to know what it is?
