Join Students for Sustainable Stanford for a conversation with Dr. Naomi Oreskes, a leading historian of science and internationally recognized scholar of climate science, scientific consensus, and misinformation. Oreskes is the Henry Charles Lea Professor of the History of Science at Harvard University and is widely known for her influential work on the social and political dimensions of science, including how industries have challenged scientific evidence on issues like climate change and public health. Lunch will take place in Ng Lounge at approximately 3:00 PM. We'll cater Palmetto's and other snacks. Later that evening at 7 pm in the Tressider Oak Lounge, Oreskes will present her lecture, titled “From Monsanto to Jeffrey Epstein: Contemporary Challenges to Scientific Integrity,” will explore modern threats to scientific credibility and the forces that shape public trust in science.
