EVENT POSTPONED
Dear friends, with our sincere apologies for the late notice, we are POSTPONING this event, the date will be announced shortly. One reason is that a core member of our collective has tested positive for Covid, and we don't feel that the gathering can go on in good energy without a large piece of our programming and team.
We would also like to re-prioritize and direct our community's energy towards the ongoing UBC encampments for Gaza, which are a critical frontier of revolutionary resistance to the settler-colonial establishment which is built on deep violence and forms the basis of violent Zionism. While all universities in Gaza have been demolished, UBC continues to contribute in material forms to the ongoing genocide, and the student encampments are a clear line in the sand that we will not be complicit in financial or political support of war crimes.
We encourage our community to support the encampments, either with your physical presence, or financially. You can etransfer donations to campingtrip4p@proton.me or support with supplies. Please read the community agreements here: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6WMcv_rwXb/
This postponement is also a good reminder that Covid19 is ongoing and debilitating to our community members, and we encourage everyone to be especially careful around the student encampments.
We are sad to have to postpone, but we look forward to coming back better in the near future with you all. Much love to you, our community, and solidarity forever as we engage in these systems together. Onwards!

Worldwide Liberation: Building Anti-colonial International Solidarity
A night for music, politics and linking our struggles.
Friday, May 3rd 2024
Doors: 6pm
Show: 7pm
Where: Notional Space, 1523 E Pender St, Vancouver
Unceded, unsurrendered xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh
(Squamish) and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil-Waututh) lands.
On May 3rd, soon after May Day, the Rhizomatic collective will host a night of deep dives and community connection, woven through with music and art, around themes of international solidarity and anticolonialism.
What does this moment of people-driven Palestinian solidarity in the face of global Zionism call from us? How do we build a culture of anticolonial international solidarity, and what does that even mean? How can we return to the lost art of long community conversations about difficult issues with people across differences?
As the belt of austerity tightens worldwide, the flag of nationalism is raised, genocide is livestreamed, and we experience the polarizing violence of a warming planet, we must gather in community to make sense of it all.
Join us to hear from thinkers and artists as we explore the rich tradition of international solidarity. Ask your questions and talk within community. And be fed! Food will be provided for this night of connection.
