Cake and Voice Capital are hosting our third annual LA Tech Week rooftop party + panel, at Kassi on top of Hotel Erwin in Venice. Every serious space company in America was founded by someone who grew up on the same books and films. That fiction is now an engineering schedule: moon landings, Mars architecture, orbital data centers, AI off-world. This year's panel, "The Engineering of Imagination" puts storytellers, builders, and the capital backing both on the same stage, with voices from venture capital, aerospace, and entertainment, including NASA JPL, to ask one question: is imagination still leading the technology, or has it started following?
