“Small Talks” is an in-person talk series at our studio in Brooklyn. At its core, Small Talks is about books: designing books, making books, publishing books, selling books, distributing books, collecting books. Each edition will explore one theme in detail, and will include speakers and practitioners who are experts in their respective niche. These talks are open to all, from veteran publishers to first-time fair tablers, to artists and designers looking to start making their own books. The talks will be intimate, cozy, and unpretentious.
Small Talk #3: Book Fairs will take place from 7:00-9:30pm on Wednesday, April 30th, with a post-talk mingle to follow the discussion. Tickets are $10 each and are non-refundable. Doors open at 6:45—the talk will begin at 7:30 on the dot.
Access notes: our studio is on the 5th floor, with a ramp entrance and elevator. We have a small studio dog who may or may not be in attendance, for anyone with allergies.
Masking will not be required at this edition—but they are welcomed and encouraged.
We are holding a limited number of $5 seats for BIPOC for whom the full ticket price would provide a significant barrier to participation. All ticket sales go to paying our speakers and to refreshments. Please email hello@smalleditions.nyc to inquire about availability.
