🥾 Mount Tam Hike + Pancakes at the Top (Full-Day Adventure!) We're heading out for a challenging, all day Neighbourgood hike up the slopes of Mount Tamalpais and yes, there are pancakes waiting at the top at the historic West Point Inn. 📅 Date: Sunday, August 17, 2025 ⏰ Time: Meet at 8:00 AM to start at 8:30 AM 📍 Meet at: Pantoll Ranger Station Parking Lot Address: Panoramic Hwy, Mill Valley, CA 94941 (Parking available; arrive early — it fills up!) 🗺 Hike Details: Distance (Round Trip): ~6.5 miles Elevation Gain: ~1,300 ft Estimated Time: ~3 hours total hiking (1.5 hours up, 1.5 hours down) Route: Pantoll Trailhead → Old Stage Road → West Point Inn This is a moderate to strenuous hike with steady climbs, some steep sections, and incredible views. Not recommended for beginners — come ready to sweat and summit. 🥞 Why We’re Hiking: To reach the iconic West Point Inn, where we’ll stop for their legendary pancake breakfast (hosted only a few Sundays a year).
