EGAL is proud to host UC Berkeley's stop on the She Runs the World Tour — a national college documentary experience featuring Olympic champion Allyson Felix. She Runs the World follows Allyson Felix — the most decorated track and field athlete in U.S. Olympic history, with 11 Olympic medals including 7 gold — as she navigates three defining chapters of her life: the pursuit of athletic greatness across five Olympic Games, a very public battle with Nike over maternity protections that sparked a national reckoning in professional sport, and a deeply personal crisis when a life-threatening pregnancy complication nearly cost her and her daughter their lives. What began as her own story became a mission: advocating for maternal health equity and the Black and Brown women who face these risks at disproportionate rates — including testifying before Congress on their behalf. Told with 35 years of archival footage and unprecedented access, the film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival to standing ovations and has earned more than a dozen festival awards. It is ultimately a story about courage, equity, and what it looks like to use your platform for others. Join us for a full screening followed by a live, moderated Q&A with Allyson and her brother and longtime manager Wes Felix. Immediately following the Q&A, Allyson will be available for a meet & greet in Andersen Auditorium — your chance to meet the Olympic champion in person. Andersen Auditorium is fully ADA-compliant and accessible to all guests.
