Jason Oberstein, Clarissa Peress, and Hilltop Sunset will be trading songs, stories, tears, and laughter from 7-9, then the stage will open up for an open mic. Come with open ears, an open heart, and maybe a guitar to share a tune with us!
Jason Oberstein is a local Camberville songwriter with a smooth voice and even smoother guitar licks. While mostly known for his energetic, Garcia-inspired lead work that's been lighting up the Boston jam scene, tonight he'll embrace a softer, more thoughtful texture with heartfelt, lyric-driven, acoustic originals.
Clarissa Peress is a Canadian-American songwriter from Tucson, Arizona with a passion for teaching music and writing. She enjoys nothing more than sitting around a fire or a coffee table sharing and listening to songs. Clarissa graduated from Berklee this May receiving a degree in guitar performance and music education.
Hilltop Sunset’s songwriting philosophy is simple: combining the universal language of music with the comprehension of words creates something greater than the sum of its parts. Every song he writes is a personal story that elicits effortless empathy, intimately welcoming listeners to share in his own experiences. Personal stories of love, pain, politics, and self-improvement permeate his songs, which range from high-energy and emotional to slow and thoughtful.
