For generations, Fifth Avenue has transformed on Easter into a living runway of millinery and spring ritual. This year, San Francisco steps into the tradition.
Join us in Washington Square Park for the inaugural Easter Bonnet Promenade. This is not a parade. There are no floats or barricades. It is a gathering to see and be seen. A civic ritual of style, conversation, and presence.
Arrive impeccably dressed. Bonnets are strongly encouraged. Interpretation is welcome, from heirloom elegance to sculptural modernism, but intention is required.
Expect an afternoon of promenade, portrait moments, and refined pageantry set against the architecture of North Beach.
This is a free event, but donations are welcome to keep the new tradition going year after year.
This is participatory. You are not watching the spectacle. You are the spectacle.
