Join Friends of the Boulevard for a metro-venture to World Refugee Day! This free, family-friendly festival celebrates the refugee communities and cultures in Houston. There will be delicious food from around the globe, handmade items to purchase, and cultural showcases featuring art, dance, and live music. There will also be plenty of activities for kids, including soccer and bike clinics, hands-on crafts, and an engaging puppet theatre.
We will meet at 9am in front of MATCH (3400 Main St, Houston, TX 77002) and take route 9 at around 9:40am to head to the WRD event at HPL Express Southwest Library (6400 High Star Dr, Houston, TX 77074). Along the way, Bus Buddies, a group of volunteers from the Bilingual Education Institute that help teach refugees how to use the bus, will join us as we all go together to this amazing event.
Come celebrate, connect, and enjoy a day of culture, creativity, and community!
