The People's Mansion is excited to invite y'all to The People's Pride this Saturday! We will have crafting, a live DJ, jamming (bring instruments!), possibly karaoke and tie-dying... BYOB, BYOW. The People's Mansion is the newest house in Better Housing Colorado, a nonprofit committed to creating affordable, sustainable, community-enhancing, cooperative housing. In a BHC co-op, each resident has their own private bedroom, but shares all common space, divides up chores, pools money for food, cooks meals together, and meets weekly to make decisions by consensus about how to upkeep their home. This wonderful style of living is very different from the individualistic culture that many people were raised with. It takes a commitment to showing up for your community, thinking about how we communicate and what kind of culture we want to create together.
