February marks the first of three East Bay Burners Socials dedicated to showcasing art projects headed to UnSCruz: Absurdia, our closest Regional Burn.
This month, we’re featuring a selection of art projects that have been chosen for UnSCruz, offering an early look at the works and ideas that will help shape the event. It’s a chance to see what’s coming, hear directly from the artists, and connect around the creative energy driving this year’s build season.
Artists and project leads will share what they’re bringing, how their projects came together, and what support or collaboration may still be needed. Expect visuals, stories, and insight into the creative process behind regional burn art.
What to expect:
- Previews of selected UnSCruz art projects
- Short artist talks and project walkthroughs
- Opportunities to connect, collaborate, and get involved
- Community time with fellow East Bay burners
Whether you’re an artist, builder, volunteer, or simply curious about the art coming to UnSCruz, this night is about celebrating regional creativity and the people who make it happen.
The 3 projects we will be featuring this month:
BeTV is a giant tube television turned immersive art installation and public-access stage for community programming and spontaneous performances.
We The Sheeple reflects on the volatile state of the electorate; how rhetoric, the weaponization of the media, and social movements are swaying the electorate as easily as the wind blows.
Moby- The Rainbow Fish, the rainbow fish art car.
