Elevated Yoga & Sound Journey

Come on out for the Elevated Yoga & Sound Journey on Sunday, April 12th from 4pm - 7pm at Awoken Space! This event fuses all of my favorite things - being near the beach, building community, expanding our consciousness with herbs, yoga & sound healing, and catching a beautiful ocean-view sunset off the rooftop of Malibu’s highest vibrational frequency yoga studio! Think of this workshop as a collective self-care session, with the opportunity to have heart-centered conversations, partake in a ceremonial smoke session, compliments of the best dispensary in Malibu, 99 High Tide! Then, we'll go into a yoga flow and sound bath to recharge and connect to source. I teach a slow-flow style of yoga from the Dharma lineage, which is great for veterans and trauma survivors because it is gentle and slow, activating your parasympathetic nervous system and getting you grounded and ready for the sound bath. For my sound baths, I pull from three main spiritual traditions, weaving in bits and pieces from my own lived experience as a kid who grew up singing and playing the guitar at church, but then became a universally spiritual person. I add elements of Nada yoga with Aum chanting and crystal singing bowls, and I also weave in elements of the Shipibo lineage by singing icaros - the sacred songs used in plant medicine ceremonies, as well as the use of several other instruments. All of these musical elements serve as a powerful catalyst for your mind and spirit to drop into a deeply meditative state, one that is very similar to REM sleep. Your brainwaves actually sync to the vibrational frequency of the sound bowls, which allows you to process complex emotions and enter into an elevated state of consciousness. The end result is pretty awesome, and it is honestly my favorite thing in the world to do - offering these elevated yoga and sound bath experiences. I am looking forward to this and hope you can join!
